THE MARRIAGE THAT IS OPERATING UNDER A CURSE
THE MARRIAGE THAT IS OPERATING UNDER A CURSE
Texts: Genesis 3:1–24; Numbers 5:24–27
1. INTRODUCTION
God created marriage as a covenant of blessing, companionship, purpose, fruitfulness, and dominion. But when a marriage begins to manifest cycles of pain, confusion, stagnation, strife, or repeated losses, it can point to a spiritual malfunction, a broken covenant, or ancestral/ foundational interference.
Genesis 3 shows us the first marriage under attack, and how disobedience opened the door to curse-like consequences.
Numbers 5 shows how hidden sin, dishonesty, and unfaithfulness invited bitterness, judgment, and dysfunction into a marital covenant.
Today’s message explains:
So that every troubled marriage may find healing in Jesus’ Name.
2. EXPOSITION OF THE TEXTS

Disobedience broke the covering of God (Gen. 3:6).
Communication with the enemy replaced communication between the couple.
Blame-shifting replaced accountability (Gen. 3:12–13).
Loss of innocence, joy, and unity occurred.
Ground became cursed, affecting productivity, finances, and fruitfulness (Gen. 3:17–19).
Fear and shame entered the marriage (Gen. 3:7–10).
Pain increased, especially in childbirth and family life (Gen. 3:16).
