THE REASONS TO PRAISE THE LORD
THE REASONS TO PRAISE THE LORD
In light of God’s power as the Alpha and the Omega (Revelation 1:8; 22:13)
INTRODUCTION
Praising God is not an optional activity for believers, it is a divine command and a spiritual necessity. Scripture reveals that God is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. This means He is the source of all things, the sustainer of all things, and the rightful owner of all praise.
“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the Ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” — Revelation 1:8
“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last.” — Revelation 22:13
Because God is eternal, sovereign, all-powerful, and unchanging, praise becomes the believer’s natural response to His greatness and goodness.
I. WHO IS THE ONE WE PRAISE?
Understanding God as the Alpha and the Omega
He is the Beginning; the One who started creation.
