DESTROYING THE EFFECTS OF SATANIC ARROWS!

Bible Texts: Psalm 11:2; Psalm 91:1–5; Psalm 125:3; Psalm 31:1–24; Isaiah 8:9–10

INTRODUCTION

Arrows represent invisible, strategic, remote attacks launched by the forces of darkness to destabilize destinies, cause fear, introduce confusion, weaken faith, and derail God’s purpose.
They are often silent, sudden, timed, and targeted. Satanic arrows come through negative words, bad news, strange dreams, sudden losses, sicknesses, broken relationships, financial setbacks, failures at the edge of breakthroughs, and emotional disturbances.

But the good news is this:
The child of God is not helpless.
God has provided weapons, shields, and divine guarantees that ensure the arrows of the wicked cannot prevail.

This sermon explores the nature of satanic arrows, how they operate, their assignments, and most importantly; how to destroy their effects permanently through divine alignment and spiritual warfare.

1. WHAT ARE SATANIC ARROWS?

A satanic arrow is a spiritually engineered assault aimed at wounding a person’s peace, progress, health, relationships, finances, faith, and purpose.

They Include:

1. Arrows of Fear — sudden panic, dread, depression (Psalm 91:5).
2. Arrows of Sickness — unexplained afflictions.
3. Arrows of Delay and Frustration — cycles of stagnation.
4. Arrows of Confusion — inability to make sound decisions.
5. Arrows of Disfavour — rejection without cause.
6. Arrows of Death — premature death or threats of destruction (Psalm 31:13).
7. Arrows of Spiritual Weakness — prayerlessness, coldness, heaviness.

Biblical Confirmation:

“For lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string,
that they may privily (secretly) shoot at the upright in heart.” — Psalm 11:2

This reveals:

• The arrows are real.
• They are deliberate.
• They are often hidden or invisible.

2. SOURCES OF SATANIC ARROWS

1. Human Agents — witches, sorcerers, envious people, wicked hearts.
2. Demonic Entities — principalities, powers, spiritual wickedness.
3. Evil Altars — family altars, territorial altars, ancestral covenants.
4. Negative Environments — ungodly relationships, polluted atmospheres.
5. Words — curses, negative declarations, slander, evil reports.

3. WHAT SATANIC ARROWS AIM TO ACHIEVE

A. To destabilize trust in God

David expressed this danger in Psalm 11:3 — “If the foundations be destroyed…”

B. To introduce fear

Psalm 91:5 mentions the “terror by night”, fear is a major weapon of the enemy.

C. To divert destinies

The enemy wants to derail alignment, steal focus, and weaken determination.

D. To manipulate outcomes

Psalm 125:3 warns that the “rod of the wicked shall not rest on the lot of the righteous”; if allowed, it can influence decisions, processes, and opportunities.

E. To weaken the believer spiritually

Arrows weigh down the heart, break confidence, and attack prayer fire.

F. To cause shame and disgrace

Psalm 31:17 — “Let me not be ashamed, O Lord…”

4. HOW SATANIC ARROWS OPERATE

1. They operate in secrecy

“…that they may privily shoot…” (Ps. 11:2)

2. They are often invisible but carry visible consequences

3. They target vulnerable seasons

• Tiredness
• Discouragement
• Emotional sensitivity
• Major transitions

4. They operate through open doors

• Sin
• Bitterness
• Disobedience
• Wrong relationships
• Fear
• Ignorance of spiritual laws

5. They work through dreams

Many arrows are fired in dreams as spiritual seeds.

5. GOD’S PROVISION AGAINST SATANIC ARROWS

God has not left us defenseless. Scripture reveals strategic protections:

1. THE SHADOW OF THE ALMIGHTY — Psalm 91:1

“He that dwelleth in the secret place…”

This is spiritual covering through intimacy, obedience, and alignment.

2. THE SHIELD OF GOD’S FAITHFULNESS — Psalm 91:4

God’s truth becomes a personal armor.

3. DIVINE PRESENCE — Psalm 31:20

God hides His own from the “strife of tongues” and demonic manipulations.

4. DIVINE COVENANT OF NON-INVASION — Psalm 125:3

The rod of the wicked CANNOT rest permanently.

5. DIVINE FRUSTRATION OF EVIL COUNSEL

Isaiah 8:9–10 proclaims that evil gatherings and consultations shall not stand.

“Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought… speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us.”

6. HOW TO DESTROY THE EFFECTS OF SATANIC ARROWS

Below are practical, scriptural, and spiritual strategies:

1. Build and Maintain a Strong Secret Place Life

No arrow survives long around a believer who truly dwells in His presence.
Prayer + Word + Worship = Protective Atmosphere

2. Renounce Open Doors

Confess sins, break ungodly attachments, forgive quickly, disconnect from darkness.

3. Engage the Fire of the Holy Ghost

Holy Ghost fire neutralizes every satanic projection.

4. Speak and Confess God’s Word Boldly

The Word is a shield, a sword, and a weapon of reversal.

5. Engage the Mystery of the Blood of Jesus

The blood destroys legal grounds and neutralizes arrows.

6. Prophetic Declarations and Warfare Prayers

Declare Psalm 31, Psalm 91, Isaiah 8:9–10, etc., over your life.

7. Reject Fear

Arrows thrive in fear. Faith shuts down satanic influence.

8. Surround Yourself with Godly Relationships

God uses people to shield people. Avoid spiritual exposure.

9. Engage Angelic Ministry

Psalm 91:11 — angels are mandated to defend.

10. Maintain Thanksgiving

Joy and gratitude make believers spiritually resistant to attacks.

7. CASE STUDIES FROM SCRIPTURE

1. David (Psalm 31)

He faced emotional, physical, and spiritual arrows; “I am forgotten as a dead man…”; but overcame through trust and praise.

2. Israel (Isaiah 8:9–10)

Enemies gathered, plotted, strategized, but God cancelled their plans.

3. Job

Satan fired arrows of losses and pain, but his later end was greater.

8. WHAT GOD DOES WHEN SATANIC ARROWS ARE FIRED

1. He raises a standard (Isaiah 59:19).
2. He frustrates diviners (Isaiah 44:25).
3. He scatters evil gatherings (Isaiah 8:10).
4. He becomes a wall of fire (Zech. 2:5).
5. He turns the arrows back to the sender (Psalm 7:15–16).

9. PRACTICAL SIGNS THAT AN ARROW HAS BEEN DESTROYED

1. Peace returns.
2. Prayer fire increases.
3. Confusion lifts.
4. Opportunities reopen.
5. Strange sickness disappears.
6. Dreams become clear and victorious.
7. Fear loses its hold.
8. You begin to move forward again.

10. CONCLUSION – THE TRIUMPH OF THE COVENANT

The forces of darkness are real, but the power of God is superior.
Arrows may be fired, but they cannot prevail.
No weapon formed against you shall stand because:

• You are hidden in Christ.
• You are covered by the blood.
• You are empowered by the Spirit.
• You are surrounded by angels.
• You are strengthened by the Word.

8. Every secret shooter assigned against me, be exposed and disgraced.
9. Holy Ghost fire, surround me as a wall of protection.
10. I decree: no rod of the wicked will rest upon my lot!
11. I reject fear; I walk in boldness and faith.
12. I decree divine reversal of every evil projection.
13. Angels of the Lord, take charge of my borders and pathways.
14. My destiny, arise and shine, no arrow will stop you!
15. Father, thank You for permanent deliverance and victory.
